After they had defeated Lucien, the Red Wizard Warmage, and looted the cavern, Nihlus left the caves first.

And while the others encountered Bael, Nihlus Warren set out for Hillsfar astride his mount Templar.

Not regretting the 3-day travel ahead, Nihlus bonded more with Templar. Meditating and praying each day to his God Patron St.Cord the Paladin reflected on his past journeys and deeds...

Although he hasn't been a Paladin of St.Cord that long, years have passed with him in a unnatural slumber in the Vampire's "care".

And even though he has exacted revenge upon them, visited his family back home and dedicated his soul to the eradication of Evil, he felt a small but growing emptiness inside...

Wherever he turned Evil lurked, wherever he went Evil schemed and wherever he looked Evil reared its face.
He was done always taking out the smaller Evils that filled each hole and crevice. They would always be replenished as quickly as he struck them down.

Surely St.Cord took notice of him; he had quickly risen through the lower ranks of fellow Paladins.
Gained the respect of grand Authority figures and time and time again proved his mettle.

And so, now that he was alone, he prayed directly to St.Cord;
"How can I be of more significance to you, to this world ?
What can I do to gain your attention, what Evil lurks that I can Smite in Your Name ?"

Silence...

Then, a roar started but was cut short immediately.
A Red-Dragon head fell down from the sky...

Looking up, Nihlus Warren, to be Champion of St.Cord, saw a scythe-wielding hooded figure mounted on a flaming nightmarish horse next to a headless Red-Dragon.

It's neatly decapitated body fell down, taking its rider with him.
Then, as 'Death' disappeared, another Red-Dragon and several humanoid figures appeared in the sky.
The Dragonrider dove after its comrade, as the others fell to earth.

Then the first rider Teleported onto the diving Red-Dragon's , who then pulled up and disappeared again.
The falling humanoids also blinked out in thin air,
leaving Nihlus again alone in Harrowdale's forest...
