Confronting Lucien

After the ambush and after getting shot at from outside, the Four quickly rushed their assailants.
They easily disposed of the 2 Gnoll Guards outside, but then they found themselves being attacked from above by the tribe's Shaman.
He summoned forth a Huge Storm Elemental and then cast down his spells.

Mounted on his Hippogriff Nihlus rushed the Spellcaster, while Coop, Shadow and Xander dismissed the Elemental.


With combined effort they killed the cavern´s Gnoll occupants; Guards, Rats, Wolves and a few Shaman.
Before descending to the lower levels, they noted that there were provision and weapon placements for a hundred Humanoids..

After the initial weaker Gnoll, now they faced Flind Captains.
And although they were stronger and better geared, both the Flind and Flame Strike traps were traversed without much trouble.

Lastly they entered the final floor inside the cavern lair.
Up front stood the Paladin Nihlus to brave the first hit.

Around the corner a Sand Giant blasted the group and came down on Warren..

While Xander and Nihlus traded blows with the Giant, Nevare and Wanneskor spread out to both survey the large cave as well as to spot other occupants.

Cast from across the cave a Wall of Fire divided the group and then a quickened Black Tentacle spell filled the floor beneath the group´s arcane casters.

Not easily distracted the Cleric and Paladin pummeled the Sand Giant, while the Sorcerer and Illusionist went to attack Lucien.

Then all went blank; a Sleet Storm raged through the area, blinding and immobilizing all...
