Taking their time at the Portal to recover and pray for spells, the Four step through and enter the Iron Wastes, 23rd layer of the Abyss, ruled by Kostchtchie.
Extremely cold and impeding normal movement, they trudge through.
After a brief encounter with a Shapeshifting Norse Dragon, they come upon a small outpost, situated upon a hill.
Bombarded by boulders , Tereus, Jack, Touven and Anon engage a few Frost Giants before entering the small bunker.
There Tereus draws the Blade from an ice statue, summoning its protector in the process.
Outside the others fight off a coven of Ice Hags, while inside the Ninja evades the Frost Lord's killing blows.
After several rounds a even more close calls, the heroes are victorious and claim the Sword from the Giants.
Hoping to wield it properly in time, Anon commands it to shrink and holds onto it.
Trudging back through the snow-path they enter the Demonweb Pits and find out it has shifted corridors as well as chambers.
This last passageway now leads into a chamber filled with brimstone and fire;
striding out of the smoke are tall skeletal demons with bony white vestigial wings. Their entire bodies are sheathed in blue fire and their drawn swords burst into flames.

With confidence I clashed with the Frost Lord, trying to get it's attention away from Touven and Jack.
My confidence was revealed to be unfounded; getting the attention of the icy hulk however was succesful.
A few hard blows, and everything went dark... scarily dark.
And then I regained my consciousness; Touven hanging over me, enemies slain.
It appeared that Touven just finished a Reviving spell; I cheated death.
That is not something I plan to do again... I saw no heaven or other location or dream while I was in my near death experience.
