With the defeat of Despayr, and the flow of Art stopped, the Weave's tearing was at an end.

This extraordinary feat did not pass unnoticed and Mystra herself descended upon the Realms to gift these fortunate heroes a boon of gratitude.

In past times she had imparted similar boons; when Boccob was torn apart.
His soul and body seperated, true champions of good failed to resurrect Him. It was then that Midnight had appeared, willing and able to hold Boccob's portfolio she became Mystra.

Those four* were each instilled with Silver Fire; the ability to harness the Weave's Power directly. It came with a price.

Not wanting to make a similar mistake, She now imparted upon these four fledgling heroes a Holy Symbol. Each differently enhanced, a Symbol that will grow in power as their holders will.
Blessed with foresight, Mystra knew those would be needed all too soon.

"I thank you for going beyond what is expected, and putting other's well-being before your own. What you have done is a feat to be remembered. Please accept my token of gratitude and wear these Symbols with pride.
As you grow in power, so too shall each gain abilities.
These Symbols are an extension of the Weave, and as such they are impervious to the subtle changes in Wild Magic zones, as well as able to function in any Dead Magic zone.
I fear I cannot impart this power onto you directly, not only will I be interfering too much, it will only damage you if Shar's Shadow Weave enhances.
I bid you not farewell, we shall meet again.
