Sink or Swim

Coop was the first out the door and the first to notice the Kobolds, the first to call out, and then the first to scorch and burn them alive..

Four kobold were standing near the well, and had their crossbows trained on their horses and men. They demanded food; a horse.

Then, after the hurled Fireball, only one was left standing.
It immediately dropped its weapon and yielded.

Coop, Xander, Nihlus and Shadow walked the distance to the dark well.
Their attempt to interrogate the Kobold and have him lead them to his Leader, failed..a bit.
When it got the chance to enter the well first, it dived in. Disappearing and leaving them behind.

Braving up, Nihlus then went down, not knowing what to expect, trusting that StCord would lead him.

Fast-forward 2 minutes;
Hanging upside down in the well, high above the inner chamber was Shadow. Trying to focus he sent the kobolds to sleep, one after another.
At the side of the reservoir was Nihlus, trying to get in a small-sized raft to traverse the water without sinking in.
On the opposite side were some kobolds firing crossbows and opening the grates to drain the reservoir.
Next was Coop, after swimming through, getting out of the water and standing up to the kobolds.

And down under was Xander. Not swimming, not sinking; just drowning.
