The Wyvern Watch Inn was the largest and so they met up there, and there they met Tunaster and listened to his tale.
Recognizing a possible adventure and a road to gold and reputation the four agreed to do some digging and report back any findings.
They learned not much from the clergy and easily came to trust them and their side of the story.
Still the traveling cleric Tunaster held to his claims and wanted them to dig deeper, maybe even participate in this Ritual of the Sacred Trust.
Not wanting to fall for a trap, the adventurers split up that night; the barbarian and fighter would go after a note left for them from an unknown source, telling them to meet. And the Ninja and Rogue would climb the temple and try to overhear or see anything that transpired at the temple.
The warriors were ambushed, but caught the attackers and delivered them to Maximanus, while the sneaking half of the party found out nothing of particular interest.
Apparantly the Ritual was real, if somewhat excessive and they could all still participate.
Not knowing another way of discovering new information, the group signed in for the three-day ritual and payed Shan Thar at the door.
Inside the party was told to lay down all weapons, armor, items of personal interest and clothing, to bath extensively and don vestments.
The coming three days they joined in chanting, reading, discussions, stargazing, lectures, all the while drinking as much water as they wanted and eating enough bread as not to pass out from hunger..
As the days wore on, more petitioners became fatigued, or even exhausted, and the scriptures were known by heart.
