The ranger even calls those critters his Favored Enemies.
Besides having a grand collection of Goblin ears, for which he offers a modest bounty, his most prized possession is the preserved body of Chief Wartus of the (now extinct) Bonegrinder Tribe.
Somedays he stares at the floating body in that tall jar of brine, and remembers the days when he hunted the evil creatures fervently.
As much as he hates Goblins, even more so do Goblins hate (and fear) horses.
Therefore it gave Daviren great pleasure in naming his horse stables, the Goblin Squash Stables.
But now, the small sized sinister spawn has the Ranger seething.
Weeks prior Daviren paid for a great stallion to breed his own magnificent horses. And Shalelu just arrived with his horse-merchants beaten up, and Shadowmist stolen.
She explained him what had happened and advised not go after the Goblins himself, instead he could ask the Local Heroes while she would lead them to the attack site.
Of course the retired ranger would rather have gold for the four horses Aldern bought (but still hasn't paid for), but will settle for 8 pairs of Goblin ears for each horse.
The Local Heroes would return him Shadowmist, he would have vengeance, and his wall collection will grow.
Grinding his teeth the bitter man saw the four men leave with his former companion.
