The son of Rokuro, owner of Sandpoints' Glassworks, Lonjiku inherited his aristocrat position.
He married Atsuii and bricked up the old smuggler's tunnels, ending his father's scrupulous business.
His joy at her pregnancy turned sour when she gave birth to a half-elf boy.
He was named Tsuto, and Lonjiku never found out who the father was.
They tried for another child, and when Atsuii was pregnant again, he demanded Tsuto to be placed at the academy as an orphan, not allowing her to visit.
Loving her husband and fearing his reaction, she complied.
A family again with the birth of Ameiko, business at the glassworks flourished and Lonjiku become more of a workaholic.
Growing up, Ameiko learned of Tsuto from her mother and visited him regularly. Together they would one day become adventurers and see the world.
After the terrible fire at the cathedral, which claimed the lives of many, they decided it was time to leave.
Atsuii was heart-broken. She was never a mother to her son, who hated her for abandoning him. Ameiko never respected her for choosing her father over her brother, and Lonjiku ignored her.
Realizing that her husband had never truly forgiven her, one year later she had built up the courage to do the unthinkable in Minkai culture..
She threw herself off the cliffs below Old Light.
Lonjiku could not face the disgrace, and convinced everyone he saw someone push her.
When Ameiko and Tsuto visited for the funeral, his 'son' never believed his story and left shortly, his daughter stayed and bought the Rusty Dragon.
Then, conveniently, Chopper started his murder spree and Atsuii became known as his 'first victim'.
Four years later, one week ago, Tsuto returned and blackmailed Lonjiku.
Telling him he knew that he had lied about his mother's death and that Chopper had not pushed her.
Fearing for his business, his name and Ameiko's reaction he complied.
Unknowingly, by opening the north gate at the Swallowtail Festival, Lonjiku had set in motion a chain of events that would awaken an evil slumbering for 10,000 years..
His son continued his demands by threatening to tell Ameiko of his betrayal; opening the smuggler's tunnels, paying 2,000gp, and now surrendering the Glassworks to him.
Lonjiku Kaijitsu has reached his breaking point.
Today he would go and ask Ameiko to leave town with him, start anew.
Grown astranged of his daughter and fearing her judgement, he lost his temper immediately.
He entered the Rusty Dragon and shouted for her to come out, he grew agitated from the presence of the Local heroes and cursed them for it.
When Ameiko came out he demanded her to go with him, leave the Rusty Dragon.
And when she hesitated and refused he snapped..
Trying to grab her, she ducked and swung at him with her soup ladle.
Blushed with shame Lonjiku could do nothing but leave her, only to make one last biting remark;
"You are as dead to me as your mother"
A cruel comment made even worse because they would never see each other alive again..
The rest of the day Lonjiku was slowly tortured to death in his Glassworks by Tsuto and his sanguin band of Goblins.
