As Lucrecia and her band of followers made their way out of Jorgenfist, the Sandpoint Heroes descended deeper to face Mokmurian.
Even though he knew of their arrival, Mokmurian's preparations proved inadequate.
The band of Heroes battled him in a furious assault and took him down even before their Forgefiend ally had time to aid them.
Outside the Lamia's, Dragons, Trolls and Kobold Champion massacred Giants by the dozen.
Each kill sending a greedy soul to power the Runewell of Karzoug.
Then, Mokmurian was killed and a massive influx of energy overflowed the Well's capacity.
Other, smaller, Runewells activated and ancient contingencies triggered an awakening..
Victorious the Heroes sorted through the Stone Giant Transmuter's battle gear and personal items, unaware of the rumbling in their hometown.
Suddenly the Forgefiend blasted them and a distant, almost alien voice spoke to the surprised companions;
"So these are the Heroes of age. More like worms to be crushed back into the earth when I awaken the armies of Xin-Shalast, when the name Karzoug is again spoken with fear and awe.
Know that the deaths of those marked by the Sihedron hasten my return.

The outsiders' eyes flared with a soul-searing emerald radiance and it collapsed to the floor, lifeless..
