Her father had saved the elven community with his adventuring band and there met her mother, a priestess of Desna.
Several years later, after Shalelu was born, the original dragon that attacked them was resurrected and returned and killed her mother.
Again, Jakardros defeated the dragon but did not want to stay in Crying leaf.
Fearing he could not defend his daughter (thinking danger followed him), he left and joined the Black Arrows.
Not knowing why her father had left and now an orphan, Shalelu picked up the life of a ranger.
Soon she also left the village, to leave behind her pain of losing both parents and settled south, outside Sandpoint.
A friendly community that had just started to grow to a settlement.
She defended it against Goblins and small monsters.
Shalelu made sure it's citizens saw her as an elf (not the half-elf she despised to be) and was content in living alone in the wilderness.
That all changed when Sandpoint was attacked in force by a band of Goblins earlier this year.
The half-elf felt somewhat powerless to stand up to a warband and looked up to the few who did (Sagerius, Finn, Barthel, Fletcher).
Proudly she escorted them to Thistletop where the (soon known to be) Local Heroes fought heroically.
And still fond of these Heroes she watched as they gained renown beyond Sandpoint by solving murders and defeating strong foes.
Inspired by their courage and determination Shalelu Andosana decided to go north and find out where her father Jakardros went.
Over the course of a few weeks she found out he had joined the Black Arrows, but on her first serious trip she encountered a slain messenger.
In its possessions he held a sealed letter to one named Xanesha, located at the Seven's Mill in Magnimar.
Dutifully she went to Magnimar to deliver this, apparantly important, message.
Arriving at the closed off mill, she was escorted to the Lord-Mayor Grobaras and sent home for a job well done.
Again disheartened by the lack of trust by others, and a sense of powerlessness, she returned to Sandpoint.
There, she fought a few times at Sagerius' and Ameiko's side against small groups of Goblins as well as forayed out with the company of Fletcher (who still tried to find Tsuto).
Then the Heroes were summoned by Lord-Mayor Grobaras and Shalelu Andosana again found the will and the way to ride north and find her cowardly father.
