After a 10-year service in the Cormyrian army, each is given a honorary discharge with benefits, for which the High Commander has asked each one last favor.
A request for help from an old fiend, he himself cannot resolve.
And so you arrive, all the way from Cormyr's capital Suzail to the coastal city of Thar; Melvaunt.
Instead of the normal double tenday-trek, you have been allowed the use of a Portal; from Suzail to Hillsfar.
The High Commander has given each a Seal of Woarsten Nanther; patriarch of a powerful and influential noble family.
It allows you free passage to the city.
After your arrival, you quickly make your way through the dirty, smoke-clogged streets to the Nanther estate.
There your seals are inspected carefully before allowed entry.
Leaning heavily on a gold-tipped ivory cane with a handle shaped like an ibis head, Lord Woarsten Nanther enters the room.
After dispensing with introductions, he settles in a large padded chair and fixes his gaze upon you.
"I wish to pay each 250 Platinum pieces to find my son, Oreal.
He hasn't been seen for 5 days, far too long.
Worse, rumors abound that other noble scions are missing.
I've exhausted all prudent avenues of investigation, but with the increased orc raiding of late and the heightened tension caused by the missing sons, I'm afraid I have little to show.
I must warn you, as Lord of this great House, I have many enemies.
Some no doubt seek to undermine my authority.
Please bring my son back to me, forcibly if need be, safely and soundly.
If you find the other scions, please return them as well, surely the other houses will blame Nanther for any death or harm upon their kin.
Just to be clear, the platinum I am paying is for Oreal's safe return alone.."
