After months of trailing high in the sky, slowly the Harbinger descended to Faerûn.
Foreshadowing this event was the rupture in Planar connections.
The Material Plane slowly tore away from the Astral Plane, first causing harm to those who used Magic to enhance travel.
Later crippling or killing, and finally preventing any Astral travel to function.

A unforeseen side-effect was that extra-planar creatures summoned or called would not return after their death, effectively stranding their lifeforce on the Prime.
And now, as the tearing is complete; all called or summoned creatures will not return at all.

Furthermore, all summons have a substantial chance of being corrupted by the negative energies now overflowing the realms.
The attack on Hillsfar is the latest corruption; in trying to summon Good Elementals to aid her in her search, Kathoon has inadvertently called servants of the Evil Elemental Princes.

In graveyards across the realms, the dead stir and claw their way out.

Now, the Harbinger brings down death in the form of several of His most vile Undead.
At most sites, Wights, Ghasts, Spectres are reported.
But at some impact craters, gargantuan creatures slither and crawl.
Leading the biggest pack is Immun-Drac, the Mummified Red Dragon..
