Road to Shadowdale

Huzuraal rampaged through the Upper Dark, releasing his pack on the Prime,
while the four Heroes made their way to Shadowdale.
Venturing through the forested area, they came upon a Thorp.

Minutes earlier the Ogre mercenary band; Teeth, whose members filed their teeth and made a habit of biting off their defeated opponents ears, had invaded the homes and killed most of its residents.
Looking for more information regarding the whereabouts of Azalar Falconhand, they now gathered the valuables in the center. Just before the Four arrived, another band of mercenaries, the Skull and Club.. club, happened upon the site.
Tereus, Rekk, Anon and Jack walked out of the forest and entered the edge of the thorp, which stood upon a small hill besides a small stream, spotting both groups arguing about who is entitled to how much coin.

Quickly deciding that both bands are evil and should be given no quarter,
Rekk shouted out; "Who's the boss, and come face us."
Scanning these new arrivals the Ogres thought themselves outmatched and since information was more valuable than currency, their leader settled to buy this group off.
"Very well," Rarnok, the Ogre Leader, responded," you can have the gold, just leave us be."

Rekk shrugged at this unexpected reply and let one of them approach, holding forth a bag of coins. The attack came as a total surprise to the two mercenary companies.

Rekk and Anon both exploded into action, taking advantage of their momentum.
The combat that followed ended soon after.
All Ogres and human mercenaries, except their apparent leader, lay dead and while the Barbarian applied some healing to the townsfolk his companions questioned (name).

Understanding that the humans came upon this site of death and destruction, just as they had, they allowed him to make himself useful for the group.
Borgan would use his Zhentarim contacts in Shadowdale to their benefit.
