Most were about the recent raids, while some whispered about Drow returning to the Dales. There was also talk about abandoning the Compact.
Of course it was all talk, but Teegahn worries that it might soon evolve in action.
He wants to speak up and take away their worries and fears, but he cannot.
For he worries too. Several of his men, whom he trusts completely, have seen dark shapes move about at night. With fluid movements and soundless.
They could be Elves, but what if they are not..
The Druid then spots two of the four heroes enter and start to gather information.
Leaving his table he walks up to the big half-orc, when suddenly the whole bar seems to explode. People jump up and run to the front, pointing and shouting about a cart and Trolls.
Worried for his companion, Centurion, Teegahn decides to meet up with them later.
Leaving Ashabenford he finds his Tiger on guard. Together they track the cart trail.
Finding nothing of interest, they soon return to town.
Later that day he is approached by the Adventurers, who ask general questions.
The Druid offers to have them stay at his lumbercamp, which they refuse.
The Four decided to follow the trail in the direction of Hillsfar.
Teegahn leaves for his camp at first light, arriving well before nightfall, where he is confronted by his discontented workers.
They've grown afraid to work in the woods and would like him to stay longer and more often. Or leave his big Cat behind as protection.
That evening they talk about the markers, who could be the culprit and why.
Rumor has it that Drow have returned. But why would they care about the trees..
Around midnight a Lightning Bolt splinters the front gate and a giant Bladerager Troll charges into the camp. As all workers arm themselves and head out, it's soon evident they're outmatched.. severely.
Teegahn leads a desperate charge through the broken down gate, and then all is dark.
Several days later, the Druid awakens further into the woods and with an elf standing over him.
"Greetings," Tereus explains," you were wounded, and I've patched you up.
Could you please," pointing out the scene 100 feet back," tell your cat to back off?"
"Yes! please," a muffled Anon replied from beneath 6,000 pounds of Tiger.
