The instant Shadow Wanneskor activated one of the Tooth’s main powers, the General‘s attention was caught.
It activated its mount and released the 5 Harbinger Seeds.
Down below on the surface of Faerûn, the gnome was only aware of his newfound ability to Shadowwalk.
His companions, however, got up to a tremor not unlike an earthquake.
When they gathered outside they all saw falling Stars, evidently coming from the Harbinger.
Two went north, one west and east and the final one crash-landed close by their home and the town of Essembra.
Quickly Nihlus, Xander and Coop gathered their gear and Shadow stepped out of the Shadow Plane before they had missed him.
Rushing to the crash site they discussed the potential danger and meaning of these new Fallen Stars.
On another Plane, Rainmoon watched.
He too saw the Seeds fall, he also spotted the Bleak General and knew what Shadow had set in motion.
Queen Morwel had allowed him to monitor these heroes, but he was not to intervene.
So now, he watched and saw what these four companions could achieve together.
On yet another Plane of existence, secure on his own Layer, Orcus watched as well. And he not only knew what was set in motion, he craved the Tooth.
Tenebrous was still linked and slumbered within.
The tearing of the Astral Plane, prevented him from entering the Material Plane. The Demon Lord feared he might not be able to return, and was forced to sent minions.
But this time He sent his most powerful machination created in Hell.
Sending forth his Hellfire Engine, He was confident it could devastate the wielder of the Tooth.
When the companions trekked across the woods to where they saw a Seed fall, a rumbling drew their attention towards Essembra.
Flying up, Nihlus spotted a few buildings collapse and then saw an eruption at the town’s center.
Rainmoon watched and was impressed by these heroes’ determination and understanding of what needed to be done first.
As the Seed gave birth to an enormous Tree, attracting any and all evil forest-dwellers.
These four ran to Essembra, to help the denizens and push back the hellish assault.
The Eladrin recorded their progression and achievements for future reference, as well as to show Queen Morwel they might become new Heroes of the Dales, or even of the Realms.

So that is why we haven't heard from Orcus lately. He is trapped on his on hellish plane.
Nice to see the harbringer is good for something after all.
Next time he needs to send something better then a machination, this one was destroyed with one of my devastating unstoppable charges.
Luckily templar has a few good abilities of his own and saw a way past the erupting lava.
Because that is what hell machinations do aparantly. They explode...
They explode with lava. Very hot smouldering lava.
We managed to save most of the town from the blast with some walls Coop put up.
After this we went into the huge tree which was kind of destroying our house.
The insides of the tree were dripping with acid and filled with creatures which we easily disposed of.
In the center of the tree we found the seed of evil. This was what enlarged the tree.
Guarding it was a druid. He was not amused when he saw us.
We decided to let the druid take his most powerful form to show everybody who is scrying us, and on his way to us, how powerful we really are.
It was not an easy task killing the evil druid, since his most powerful form was an ancinet, ginormous red dragon.. Capable of unleashing a most potent breathweapon.
But in the end we were victorious of course!
That was the time the bleak general thought it was a good time to pay our gnome a visit.
'Touch me with the tooth please' he asked the gnome.
That is a good idea our ignorant gnomish "companion" must have thought..
And so he does what is asked of him. The general disappears with his mount and a purging blast is released.
Every good aligned being is struck with intense pain in a radius unknown to us.
Maybe it is a good idea to get the tooth away from shadow once and for all, who knows what happens next time we encounter the general.
I charge at Shadow with the force of good behind me!
